Monty’s Marvellous Easter Egg Mousse Recipe
Chocolate covered in chocolate covered in chocolate!
Easter is fast approaching, and that means the house should be choc-a-block full of chocolate… If you’re already wondering what on earth to do with it all (beyond eating it, obviously), then let us inspire you with our marvellously melt-in-the-mouth Easter Egg Mousse recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
- Monty Bojangles Easter Egg Tin of your choice: Choccy Scoffy, Flutter Scotch, Taste Adventures
- 125g of Monty Bojangles Milk Perfectly Creamy Chocolate Bar
- 3 Eggs
- 10g Butter
- 1/2 cup Cream
- 3 tbsp Caster Sugar
METHOD:
- Separate your eggs
- Whisk the yolks
- Break up 125g of Milk Perfectly Creamy and melt in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir, then another 30 seconds. Continue this until the chocolate has fully melted
- Whip 1/2 cup of Cream until stiff
- In a separate bowl, whip the egg whites, then add in the Caster Sugar, and whip until stiff
- Add the egg yolks into the whipped Cream, followed by the melted chocolate
- Add this chocolate mixture into the whipped egg whites
- Pour into your Easter Egg halves
- Refrigerate
- Garnish with melted Milk Perfectly Creamy and truffles!
